When MTN hosted its Capital Markets Day 2023 they wanted to support local craft to make the branded corporate gifts for their 150 delegates.

Embrace Collective is a proud black-owned business whose beginnings are rooted in the community. Their mission is to provide black women impacted by HIV and Aids with an opportunity to earn an income through the creation of handcrafted products. They started doing this work as part of Wola Nani – a caring response to AIDS, a Non-Profit Organisation based in Cape Town, South Africa.
When making the exciting transition to Embrace Collective they wanted to pay homage to Wola Nani, an isiXhosa phrase meaning ‘we embrace one another’. Embrace Collective was birthed in 2021, a time calling out for growth and change like never before. By creating a sustainable business they remain rooted in our mission of empowering crafters through income generation.
