We will definitely try to help with any changes. We can’t guarantee that products that are made to order can be changed if they are already in manufacture. If you need to make changes please contact us as soon as possible so we can see what we can do to help.
Products that are ‘in stock’ take 2-3 working days to deliver if you are in a main city. Regional areas outside major cities take 3 – 5 days. And outlying/remote areas take 4 – 7 days.
‘Made to order’ products will be shipped once they have been manufactured. The estimated manufacture time is indicated on the product page. Please bear in mind that some Thusana friends live in remote areas so please be patient. Your product is being made with love and will be worth the wait.
We use the local service provider PayFast to process our online payments. This payment gateway accepts payments using Visa & Mastercard cheque & credit cards, Mobicred, Masterpass , Zapper, Debit Cards & Instant EFT.
At time of checkout, simply choose your preferred payment method. If you choose to pay by via credit or debit card, you will be requested to enter your card details. Your card will only be charged once you have selected to proceed with your order.
Payfast take the security of their merchants and customers very seriously. You can read more about the security measures they have in place on their website.
‘In stock’ items take 2 – 5 days to deliver. Delivery of ‘made to order’ products are indicated on the respective product page. We have indicated on each product which applies so please bear this in mind when adding a mix of ‘made to order’ and ‘in stock’ products. Your order will only be shipped once all items are ready, unless you break the order up. This means you need to add the ‘in stock’ products to one basket and then checkout and then add the ‘made to order’ items to another basket and checkout. Please bear in mind that this will incur 2 shipping fees.
We unfortunately need you to provide us with a physical address where someone will be present to sign for the order, this is a requirement of our courier service to ensure your parcel gets to you safely.
We like to keep things simple. For orders under R1000, we charge a flat rate of R95, anywhere in South Africa.

For anywhere else in the world, please use our nifty option to ask for a shipping quote at checkout and we’ll let you know (don’t forget to add your address).
Our suppliers love their products to be enjoyed all around the world! Deliveries outside of South Africa will be quoted for. Please indicate at checkout if you reside out of South Africa so we can contact you with the quote.
It all depends on the particular supplier. If you would like to know about a particular product you are welcome to contact us and we will find out for you.
Thusana doesn’t make any of the products you see on our website. We have carefully sourced them from people that we believe fit the true character of a Thusana friend. We exist to empower hard-working people with incredible talent so that they can improve their lives. You can find out more about our friends here.
We are very transparent about where our products come from and who makes them. And you can read their stories on our friends pages. We also aim to show the number of products that have been ordered from each supplier so you can see for yourself how Thusana is helping them grow their business.
You are most welcome to return a product provided it is in its original packaging and has not been damaged. You will however need to pay for the return shipping fee. Your refund will be processed once the goods have been received and checked by Thusana. If you wish to return or exchange an item please contact us and we will arrange the collection once payment is received.
Our products are quality checked and carefully packaged so we hope that never happens but if it does, then you will be able to return or exchange it within 30 days from the date of purchase. To be eligible, products must be in their original packaging.
If the product is damaged or has defects then no return shipping costs apply. If the product is being returned for any other reason then we will unfortunately have to charge for the return shipping.
If you don’t receive your parcel after 7 days of purchasing please get in contact with us so we can try and trace it with the courier company. Please bear in mind that our couriers are outsourced suppliers so we unfortunately cannot take responsibility for items not received. However we will do whatever we can to make sure you receive your order and there is limited insurance on every delivery.
